A fews days ago, MCG broke through for the last time. They broke through the tunnel wall 20 metres below ground at Gibraltargatan. That is where the last cross passage is located a few hundred metres before Station Malmö C.

The critical part of the tunnel driving is finished now. To the left you can see Gustav Neges, the cross passage manager handing over the patron sain Barbara to the tunnel godmother, Lise-Lotte Reiter. Another patron saint was handed over, she has been watching over the rock cavity at Triangeln. Johannes Truschel is happy to hand over the patron saint to Örjan Larsson from the Citytunnel project.

Next to nothing is visible in Slottsparken at Kung Oscars väg today. A small hut that will soon be replaced by a hatch in the ground is all that remains of the construction site that has been there for some time. Restoring groundwork has been in progress for a while and is almost finished, but there are activities under ground. The picture shows the stairs that have been cast all the way from ground level in the park and they will end in cross passage 3 between the two tunnels. This is one of the rescue service access points in case of a future accident in the tunnel.

In brilliant sunshine but wrapped in dust, the tunnel bore machine Katrin arrived at Malmö C.

A month later than her sister machine, but she managed to make the journey a little faster.
Happy tunnel workers are peaking through Katrin's worn cutter head while the colleagues already are out standing in the rests of the demolished concrete wall

To the left Örjan Larsson from Citytunneln and Johannes Truschel from MCG are shaking hands and expressing their thanks for a really successful cooperation. Below Martin Foerder, PD at MCG,  is thanking the tunnel godmother Lise-Lotte Reiter.
