Wheel wash

Three million cubic metres of waste material will be transported from the tunnel construction to the filling area in the Northern harbour. To minimise dirt on the roads in and around Malmö, every truck passes through a wheel wash on their way out from Holma and Triangeln. The dirty water is settled in basins and the water is recycled.

Recycling of concrete residue

The handling of the concrete creates some waste. This waste is taken care of and the concrete is recycled.

Keeping an eye on the surroundings

All buildings within a radius of 100 metres of the construction site have been inspected carefully before the start of the works. The monitoring continues during the entire construction time so that subsidence damage, for example, can be discovered immediately.
